One year ago, my affectionate, adventurous four-year old Nova went out for her usual walk and didn't come back. I put up signs, visited local animal shelters, called veterinarians, and posted on numerous regional, poorly-maintained websites, all to no avail. What if she had simply lost her collar and no one knew how to reach me?

It dawned on me that had someone found Nova, the simplest solution could have brought her back: a web-based registry with her information in it and mine. With experience as a web designer and programmer, I immediately got to work creating a free, universal system to help ensure that others never have to suffer through the loss of a pet.
