Erik Lautier, Founder - A former professional actor and opera singer with a penchant for astronomy and poker, Erik's first business venture also dealt with animals - though at the time, he was an eight-year old trying to convince neighbors to buy pet frogs. He emerged years later as creator of a web design company serving the arts and entertainment industries, and, before long, he was promoted to Vice President of a client's cosmetics brand. However, Erik's desire to once again have his own company ultimately led him to pack his bags (and his cats) for France. It was there that he first had the inspiration for wiskr.com. Erik holds a Bachelor of Arts from Duke University, a Masters of Music from the New England Conservatory, and an MBA from INSEAD. He currently lives in New York and works for EDUN, the socially conscious, ethical fashion brand started by Ali Hewson and Bono, where he deals specifically with the edun LIVE sub-brand, which focuses on the sale of blank t-shirts and organic t-shirts to create jobs in sub-Saharan Africa.
